WEC Imola: Ferrari 1-2-3 in Hypercar, Manthey porsche in pole position in LMGT3

Qualifiche LMDh

Durante le qualifiche abbiamo visto sia le due Peugeot che le due Alpine non riuscire a qualificarsi per l’Hyperpole. Anche Lamborghini e Cadillac sono rimaste indietro nella lotta per la pole position. Toyota, Ferrari e Porsche hanno mostrato prestazioni solide e si sono sfidate per la pole position, con la No. 20 WRT BMW come outsider. L’unica Porsche al di fuori della top 10 partirà dall’undicesima posizione. Phil Hanson ha piazzato la sua Porsche No. 38 all’undicesimo posto con un tempo di 1:31.322. Subito dietro troviamo la Cadillac No. 2 con Alex Lynn al volante. Sulla fila successiva troviamo sia la BMW No. 15 WRT, che con ancora 1:37 da giocare ha causato una bandiera rossa quando Dries Vanthoor è uscito di pista. Accanto partirà la Peugeot No. 94, seguita dalla sua gemella, la Peugeot No. 93. Mirko Bortolotti ha collocato la sua Lamborghini No. 63 Iron Lynx al sedicesimo posto. Seguono entrambe le Alpine e la Isotta che chiude la griglia LMDh.

Hyperpole LMDh

Ferrari mostra la sua superiorità a Imola. Il marchio italiano ha conquistato un 1-2-3 durante l’Hyperpole. Antonio Fuoco ha nuovamente piazzato la sua Ferrari No. 50 in prima posizione. Questa volta con un tempo di 1:29.466, significativamente più veloce delle altre due Ferrari dietro di lui. La Ferrari No. 83 segue a 0.419 secondi con un tempo di 1:29.885, guidata da Robert Shwartzman. Subito dopo troviamo la Ferrari No. 51 AF Corse con Alessandro Pier Guidi al volante in terza posizione con un tempo di 1:29.953. Solo le Ferrari sono riuscite a scendere sotto il minuto e trenta. Le Porsche del Penske Motorsport seguono al quarto e quinto posto. Kévin Estre ha collocato la sua vettura No. 6 al quarto posto, seguito da Matt Campbell nella Porsche No. 5. Kamui Kobayashi ha piazzato la sua Toyota No. 7 anche sulla terza fila, seguito dalla BMW No. 20 e dalla Toyota No. 8. Sulla quinta fila vedremo domani la Porsche No. 12 Hertz Team JOTA e la Porsche No. 99 Proton Competition.

Hyperpole GT3

Alexander Malykhin ha messo la sua Porsche No. 92 Manthey EMA in pole position. La Porsche è stata imbattibile e ha ottenuto un tempo di 1:42.365. La Aston Martin No. 27 Heart of Racing è stata ben 0.693 secondi più lenta della Porsche e ha conquistato il secondo posto con un tempo di 1:43.058. Al Harthy ha piazzato la BMW No. 46 WRT appena davanti all’altra vettura WRT No. 31. La differenza tra le due vetture WRT è stata di soli 0.006 secondi. La top 5 è stata completata dalla Lamborghini No. 46 WRT BMW WRT Lamborghini Iron Dames guidata da Sarah Bovy, con un tempo di 1:43.151.

La gara delle 6 ore di Imola inizierà domani alle 13:00 ora locale.

LMDh Qualifying

During the qualifying session, we saw both Peugeots and both Alpine cars fall short of qualifying for the Hyperpole session. Additionally, Lamborghini and Cadillac failed to contend for pole position. Toyota, Ferrari, and Porsche showed strong performances and engaged in a duel for pole position, with the No. 20 WRT BMW as an outsider. The only Porsche outside the top 10 will start from eleventh place. Phil Hanson placed his No. 38 Porsche in eleventh position with a time of 1:31.322. Behind him, we see the No. 2 Cadillac with Alex Lynn at the wheel. On the next row, we have both the No. 15 WRT BMW, which caused a red flag with 1:37 remaining when Dries Vanthoor spun on track. Alongside will start the No. 94 Peugeot, followed by its sister car, the No. 93 Peugeot. Mirko Bortolotti placed his No. 63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini in sixteenth place. Following are both Alpines and the Isotta, which closes the LMDh grid.

LMDh Hyperpole

Ferrari shows its dominance at Imola. The Italian marque achieved a 1-2-3 during the Hyperpole. Antonio Fuoco once again placed his No. 50 Ferrari 499P in first position. This time with a 1:29.466, significantly faster than the other two Ferraris behind him. The No. 83 Ferrari follows 0.419 seconds behind with a time of 1:29.885, driven by Robert Shwartzman. Just behind, we see the No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari with Alessandro Pier Guidi aboard in third place with a time of 1:29.953. Only the Ferraris managed to break the 1 minute 30 barrier. The Porsches of Penske Motorsport follow in fourth and fifth positions. Kévin Estre placed his No. 6 car in fourth, followed by Matt Campbell in the No. 5 Porsche. Kamui Kobayashi managed to place his No. 7 Toyota on the third row as well, followed by the No. 20 BMW and No. 8 Toyota. On the fifth row, we will see tomorrow the No. 12 Hertz Team JOTA Porsche and the No. 99 Proton Competition Porsche.

GT3 Hyperpole

Alexander Malykhin has placed his No. 92 Manthey EMA Porsche on pole position. The Porsche was untouchable and set a time of 1:42.365. The No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin was a significant 0.693 seconds slower than the Porsche and secured second place with a time of 1:43.058. Al Harthy managed to place the No. 46 WRT BMW just ahead of the other No. 31 WRT car. The difference between the two WRT cars was only 0.006 seconds. The top 5 was completed by the Iron Dames Lamborghini, driven by Sarah Bovy, with a time of 1:43.151.

The 6 Hours of Imola race will start tomorrow at 13:00 local time.
